"The show is an intense depiction of a struggling family experience. The dynamic relationship between the father and each of the family members is emotionally powerful and sets the tone for the whole family. Nathan Lane exposes a stubborn tortured soul trying to perform his husband and father roles without having had any real example. Laurie Metcalf plays the exhausted yet loyal to a fault mother of men she is now done trying to guide. Christopher Abbott truly made me proud of his character who finally comes into his own adulthood and Ben Ahlers expertly depicts the ‘baby’ of the family seeking attention in the shadow of the others. I appreciate and related completely with the neighbor Charley, K. Todd Freeman, as the frustrated friend who can see the path the Loman’s are on but cannot help other than to hand over lost money.
The stage props were used well and even though I wondered in the beginning why other options weren’t used, I never missed a thing.

"In my decades of viewing Broadway, off Broadway, and other venue shows, never have I been moved to the point I was with this cast. The iconic “Death of a Salesman” can have many faces, depending on who the cast is. None better than this one, with the brilliance of Nathan Lane, Laurie Metcalf, Christopher Abbott, and Ben Ahlers. Their interpretation was beyond anything I have seen, and they tugged every emotion I could possibly have within me. Many of us can relate to parts of “Death”. Some maybe more than others. But when you can feel your youth all over again, in a family such as this one, it is not possible to come away without feeling a part of the show. And that is 100% due to the incredible actors. They WERE the roles, they were not acting them."
