Sultry, stunning, and perfect mashup of music
"This musical is exactly what a musical should be. It takes the core story of the movie but create a perfect mashup of music spanning from the 80s through the 2020s. There are only 3 songs from the movie in this musical and there is so much more music from artists like Adele, Rihanna, Pink, Britney Spears, Aha...all of which were modernized to fit the show perfectly!
The theater is stunningly decorated and beautiful. You feel 1000% like you are transferred into the Moulin Rouge. The costumes are WOW and the dancers are Holy WTF. To get the full experience, sit as close as you can and either floor or balcony is perfect as long as you are seated in center sections.
We had can-can seats where the stage wraps around you. It's definitely worth it if you or someone in your party is a theater junkie like me. The price is higher but the experience is more than worth it!
Arrive at this show early because lines are long and pictures are not allowed once the pre show starts (approximately 10 minutes before the actual showtime). "

Totally exceeded my expectations
"This was my 2nd broadway show in New York and it did not disappoint! I loved the burlesque vibe, costumes, dancing, and most of all the variety of music from many generations. Being my first time to NYC to see a broadway show, (I have seen many off-broadway) I was so impressed by the stage sets/prop and the theater! My daughter and I dressed up for the show on Halloween night to celebrate her upcoming 30th birthday which made it such a memorable night!"

Spectacular Energy!
"The show has an intriguing beginning that was difficult to decipher. I wasn’t sure of the storyline or where things were going until the main character stepped up to say…”This is a love story..” Therefore, the first 15 to 20 minutes for me were disappointing not because of the risque attire, but the lack of direction. The storyline became much more apparent as Satine’s dilemma evolved before my eyes. The staging and music were wonderful. Actors were very good and portrayed their character successfully making the audience dislike the antagonist and cheer for the protagonist! Scenery, lighting and costumes are spectacular! The production is grand and showy, worthy of the cost."
