Spectacular Energy!
"The show has an intriguing beginning that was difficult to decipher. I wasn’t sure of the storyline or where things were going until the main character stepped up to say…”This is a love story..” Therefore, the first 15 to 20 minutes for me were disappointing not because of the risque attire, but the lack of direction. The storyline became much more apparent as Satine’s dilemma evolved before my eyes. The staging and music were wonderful. Actors were very good and portrayed their character successfully making the audience dislike the antagonist and cheer for the protagonist! Scenery, lighting and costumes are spectacular! The production is grand and showy, worthy of the cost."

"Being in the theater before the show started - those sets, those costumes, the ensemble actors setting the mood: incredible. Absolutely incredible. Loved it.
Once the show started it felt a little rushed and I didn't always love the contemporary songs that were used. I admittedly missed the perfection of the original movie version, but knew to expect it to be different - but what you think you're going to get based on the pre-show vibe and then what you do get - didn't quite flow for us.
Ziegler was fantastic. Praise for Toulouse, Santiago, Nini, the Duke, and the ensemble.
Maybe not a popular opinion, but Satine and Christian fell flat for me (sorry!). Just didn't feel chemistry. Obviously both can sing. Didn't feel the magic. But overall a wonderful show. I'd go again to be immersed in the set, the pre-show vibe, and to see those costumes and the ensemble performance. "

"I saw Moulin Rouge on Broadway in New York City, and it was truly a spectacular night at the theater.
I had excellent seats, which made the experience even more immersive — though I have to admit, they were quite pricey.
Still, from the moment you enter the theater, you feel transported into a glittering, extravagant world.
The iconic windmill and elephant, the deep reds, the sparkling lights… you feel like you’ve stepped straight into a Parisian fantasy.
The set is absolutely stunning.
When it comes to the music, I wasn’t completely in love with the choice of contemporary songs. Personally, I think I would have preferred a more original, period-style score. But even so, the way the numbers are staged is impressive, and the audience clearly enjoys recognizing the hits. The mashups are incredibly clever.
What really makes the show shine is the talent on stage. The performances were phenomenal. The energy, the vocals, the choreography — everything was on such a high level. The voices are incredible, the performances are powerful, and the choreography is executed with amazing precision and energy. There were moments that were fun and explosive, and others that were intimate and heartbreaking.
And the ending is genuinely moving — emotional, dramatic, and beautifully done.
It’s pure spectacle, but it also has heart.
If you’re in New York and want a Broadway spectacle that feels grand, romantic, and unforgettable, this is it.
Overall, it’s a very impressive production and absolutely worth seeing."

Awesome Energy & Stage w/ Some Minor Remarks
"The show was generally great - the stage design, music and actors all really brought the energy and the two protagonists were fantastic. We were a bit surprised with the first number that seemed a bit out of sync and tune and there were a few other songs and moments throughout the show that made us wonder if the actors were understudies or maybe not feeling their best. We went on Jan 2nd 2025. We would still recommend the show though - it's a classic and a fun show to watch!"
