Hilariously chaotic and fun!
"The show is packed with a variety of comedy from proud silly characters and physical calamities to every possible mishap a stage performance could possibly have. Right from the beginning the audience is pulled into the chaos and the laughter continues throughout the entire show. This is a delightful production definitely worth seeing, enjoy!!"

A laugh we all need
"My coworker recommended this show, and I wasn’t sure I’d like it. I absolutely loved it. The cast was very funny and engaged the audience from start to finish. The “I’m having an episode” dance is stuck in my head in a very good way. "

My kids loved this show; my wife and I did too
"My kids loved this show, and I have to admit, the comedic timing was spot on. Every seat in the house had a good view of the stage. 10/10 would recommend. "

Light hearted and hysterical
"I loved this play. The small intimate theater was a huge plus for this production. The actors are highly animated and right in your face. I will go again and bring friends. "

Never a dull moment with this show!
"If you are into physical comedy, slapstick Marx Brothers type.... I feel this is particularly for you. Wife and I were rolling! Thought it was really clever, refreshing, and the pressure is off of the audience leaving you free to enjoy. They interact with the crowd in an inviting way...nothing cheesy. My only complaint was that they didn't hold longer for applause at the end... I had more claps and whistles to give. We see a few shows a year in NYC and this one is at the top of the list. The stage setting doesn't change during the play, so no Broadway smoke and mirrors here..... just great cast and a great script. If I had more than 2 thumbs, they would all be up."

Amazing
"The space is great for this show since there is always something going on and to be close helps to see all the small to big actions. I was laughing, chuckling, surprised and clapping through the show. The physical aspect is just over the top which makes the show hilarious. Real enjoyed the entire two hours. "

So funny!
"We loved the show! It was so funny and very well done! The casting was great! One of my favorite theatre shows I’ve seen in a very long time. I am a fan of the show that goes wrong and similar things and this was very inline with that same comedy style and it was exactly what I hoped when I bought the tickets. "

Max Bennett was hilarious as Cecil, and the cast was sensational!
"The actors did an absolutely fabulous job, and the set design and action was exceptional. This is a good play made even better by the enthusiastic performances of the actors and creative set design. The small Theatre added to the effect by being able to be as close as you can be to the stage."

Return to slapstick
"A real slapstick comedy. I laughed from beginning to end. In some ways, it reminded me of the Three Stooges. The only thing I didn’t like was when Annie smashed a glass vase. We were in the front row and a piece of the glass could have hit us. The actors were entertaining. It was obvious they were enjoying themselves. "

Very funny show
"Really enjoyed The Play That Goes Wrong. The set-up is simple: an unskilled group of actors tries to put on a murder mystery, and everything that can go wrong does (a little meta; the actors performing were actually very good, it took extra talent to make the things that went wrong work so well). My wife and daughter (13) enjoyed the performance as well. Laughed about as hard as at a good stand-up comedy show. Definitely recommend."

About The Play That Goes Wrong

Welcome to opening night of the Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society’s newest production, The Murder at Haversham Manor. This 1920s whodunit has everything you never wanted in a Broadway show—a ramshackle set, a leading lady with a concussion, and a corpse that can’t play dead. It’s a classic murder mystery… and it’s a mystery how it ever got to Broadway!
