"This was a great combination of dry, British humor and slapstick. The actors were great with physical comedy and deadpan expressions. The play moved easily along, with no lags and the audience laughed at every silly move. It was just the kind of light, funny experience needed during these trying times. I thoroughly enjoyed it."

The play that goes wrong
"I thought it was very funny and well done. I enjoyed it thoroughly. All the antics made me think of Monty Python. It kept you guessing as to what would happen next. The ending was a surprise too. "

Laugh out loud entertainment
"Two hours of chaos and madness in this laugh out loud production. Being familiar with the British tv show of the same name we knew that this was going to be a great evening."

Family fun show!
"I thought the play was fun and interesting throughout, appealing to a silliness we sometimes forget to enjoy. All of the fight scenes were well done and cartoonish enough for young audiences. There were some minor romance scenes with kissing or flirting, but nothing too vulgar. Overall, my wife and I enjoyed just as much as our 9 year old :-)"

I haven’t laughed so much in years.
"The actors were so good. Sometimes it looked like they were trying to suppress smiles, but I think that was just part of the act. The small theater made it better because I felt so close to the action. I’m so glad I saw this play. "

Funny, physical comedy
"Very funny, physical comedy with enough slapstick to keep you laughing through the entire show. Timing of actors brought the laughs rolling. Giggling children in the audience made it even funnier. The cast was outstanding. "

About
The Play That Goes Wrong
Welcome to opening night of the Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society’s newest production, The Murder at Haversham Manor. This 1920s whodunit has everything you never wanted in a Broadway show—a ramshackle set, a leading lady with a concussion, and a corpse that can’t play dead. It’s a classic murder mystery… and it’s a mystery how it ever got to Broadway!
