Waitress is serving up the full cast for its 10th anniversary North American tour. Directed and choreographed by Abbey O’Brien with a score by Grammy Award winner Sara Bareilles and book by Jessie Nelson, the tour will begin performances on September 18 in Owensboro, Kentucky before continuing to over 40 cities.
Leading the cast are Samantha Lane Scruggs as Jenna Hunterson, Hannah-Kathryn Wall as Becky, Becky Alex as Dawn, Connor Lewis as Dr. Pomatter, Jason Whitton as Cal, Patrick Cogan as Joe, Davey Fried as Ogie and Anthony Cataldo as Earl.
The touring company also includes Kyle Channell, Tamara Daly, Hannah Ellowitz, Makaira Fisk, Amanda Handegan, Evan Kupersmith, Mikey Marmann, Angelina Nazario, Sabin Shrestha, Ana Viveros and J’Khalil.
Scruggs previously toured with Dolly Parton’s Smoky Mountain Christmas Carol. Wall performed in the national tours of Come From Away and The Buddy Holly Story, as well as in Greatest Hits off-Broadway. Alex’s regional credits include Into the Woods and Spring Awakening. Lewis makes his national tour debut in the production. Whitton has appeared regionally in Desperate Measures and The Sound of Music. Cogan’s previous touring credits include The Sound of Music, Escape to Margaritaville, The Full Monty and Annie. Fried joins the Waitress tour after appearing in the Ogunquit Playhouse production of Hello, Dolly!. Cataldo toured with How The Grinch Stole Christmas! and Escape to Margaritaville.
The Waitress 10th anniversary North American tour will feature scenic design by Scott Pask, costume design by Suttirat Anne Larlarb, lighting design by Ken Billington, sound design by Brian Walters, hair design by Bernie Ardia, and music supervision by Nadia DiGiallonardo. Arrangements are by DiGiallonardo and Bareilles and orchestrations by Bareilles and The Waitress Band.
Waitress opened on Broadway on April 24, 2016 and earned four Tony Award nominations, including Best Musical. It reopened on Broadway in September 2021 following the COVID-19 pandemic and closed in December 2021.
