Amazing Time at the Theatre
"Went just to see John and Ebon but was pleasantly surprised with an amazing experience. Every actor was phenomenal and I was engaged throughout the entire show. Did not see the movie but still thought this was a great adaptation of the event in the 70s. "

The show ended & I wanted more!
"It moved fast, the characters and staging were engaging and at one point in the play the audience was part of the show. Walked away wanting more! Jon Bernthal was excellent! It was funny, gripping, and wrenching all at the same time. "

Worth every penny
"Loved it! Everyone was fantastic. I saw a lot of reviews saying Sal was a wasted character, but I thought he was the anchor for Sonny who was so high intensity. It was very a very fun mix of comedy & pathos. Leon didn’t have a lot of stage time but she made a significant impact. I wish I could see it again before it closes in July."

Stunning Twist
"Stunning twist on the original work. I laughed ( HARD! ) so often. I cried a little bit at times. I was touched by so much of it. It was raw and it was real. Every ounce of it screamed what’s happening right now and the injustice of it all. This play was so aptly timed! I can’t say a negative thing about it. Moments of note are scattered throughout. Very memorable! Jon Bernthal and Ebon Moss Bachrach aren’t the only stars but they shiiiiiine! You’ll love it! Don’t miss this while you can still see it!!"

Phenomenal performance
"One of the best performances I have seen on Broadway. Jon Berenthal acts and sounds like Al Pacino as Sonny in the movie. The cast were phenomenal and funny. The f-bombs were a plus to the laughter. "

Dog Day Afternoon - brilliant!
"Jon Bernthal is electric and full of energy. The rest of the cast is amazing as well. Funny and poignant and even though the story takes place in 1972 the themes are still relevant today. Highly recommended!"

Fantastic experience
"I haven’t been to a broadway play in over ten years. My obsession with Jon bernthal is what brought me to this play. I really enjoyed the play, not ever having watched the movie, I had no idea what I was in for. I’m surprised at how much I laughed. Really felt transported back to the 1970s. Looking forward to seeing more broadway plays in the future."

John Bernthal and Ebon Moss Bachrach were Incredible
"Having seen Dog Day Afternoon as a kid in the 1970s, I wondered whether a Broadway adaptation could ever capture the intensity, humanity, and raw emotion of the iconic film. After seeing the show this weekend, I can honestly say I was completely mesmerized. From the moment the curtain rose, I was brought right back to the story that captivated me decades ago, but this production brought a fresh energy and immediacy that made it feel entirely new. Jon Bernthal and Ebon Moss Bachrach delivered performances that were nothing short of extraordinary. Their chemistry, vulnerability, and emotional depth held the audience in the palm of their hands from beginning to end. Equally impressive was the entire cast, each member bringing authenticity and heart to their roles. The ensemble created an atmosphere so immersive that I often forgot I was watching a play rather than real life unfolding before me. This was more than a great night at the theater, it was a powerful reminder of why this story has endured for generations. If you have the opportunity to see Dog Day Afternoon on Broadway, don’t miss it. It is riveting, funny, emotional, and unforgettable."

The best thing I did on my NYC trip!!
"I visit NYC yearly and watch a show on every trip. Dog Day Afternoon was the Best I’ve seen in years. The plot was entertaining, every actor brought truly realistic and fun characters, and not to single anyone out buuut - Jon Bernthal was amazing to watch on a live stage. The character was real, it was impossible not to sympathize and be on his side from beginning to end. A blockbuster movies actor that can own a stage on broadway is next level. "

Excellent show!
"The show was outstanding! Wonderful acting on the part of everyone in the show. John has mastered his craft. We have enjoyed everything he has done and doing Dog Day Afternoon was a perfect gig. I am sure Al Pacino is and John Cazale would be very happy about his performance and that of the entire cast. "
