1970s Take it to the Streets Action on a Dog Day Afternoon
"Incredible, powerful and a great restaging of an American 1970's era cinema classic on the Broadway stage. Beyond live, is the experience of watching and yes participating in this production! Acting is superb with Jon Bernthal as Sonny and Jessica Hecht stealing the show as Colleen! Wonderfully New York in the 1970s. Being on Broadway to the magnificent set is star of the play too, this simple bank office in ways rivals the Les Miz barricade set for amazing design and movement. Pulse, pounding, intense thrilling and black humor funny as the original classic film. This production is an instant classic. Get out in the streets and fight the power by seeing Dog Day Afternoon! "

I’d go see this once a week!
"Impeccable casting and even better delivery. Jon Bernthal killed it, and full transparency, is why I went to see the show. But EVERYONE stood out in their own right. Go see this. It’s hilarious, unexpected, intense, and truly worth it. Also, the set and costuming is just perfect. Bonus- the music is on point!"

Lots of Surprises & Fantastic Cast
"As big fans of Jon Bernthal, we booked a weekend trip to NYC to see his Broadway debut. He was phenomenal. Ebon Moss-Bachrach (the beloved Lieberman in The Punisher season one), John Ortiz (the astute Detective Torres in The Drop opposite Tom Hardy), and the rest of the cast also gave fantastic performances. The plot took multiple twists we didn’t see coming. If I were back in the area, I would definitely buy tickets to see it again."

Great Performances
"Our family had the pleasure of catching the play during our trip to NYC. Our group ranged from early teens, early twenties, and adult parents. We all loved it! The performances were great and anchored by Jon Bernthal’s fantastic acting as Sonny. The central themes of capitalism, division, and LGBTQ rights continues to resonate today. It was the highlight of our trip! Also, as an aside, the actors came out after the show and signed autographs, and were so gracious with the fans."

Phenomenal Staging of a classic 70s New York Film
"The cast and the acting are amazing. This 50+ year-old story is still relevant and the play is updated here and there to make it even more so. More humor, intense emotional moments, and a warmer enveloping of the audience to bring them into the story as it develops. Highly recommend."

A True Classic Retold
"Loved that this classic movie was retold in a play setting. Loved the way they transitioned the scenes from outside/inside of bank. I have loved the movie with Al Pacino and to see it retold on stage was wonderful. Pivotal moments in the movie were added into the play and some funny scenes as well. I truly enjoyed the experience!"
