I was completely consumed by what I was witnessing. Every actor poured such raw passion into their role that it felt less like a performance and more like a living, breathing act of storytelling. Their energy was electric, their commitment absolute. Even in moments of death, despair, or darkness, each performer radiated life. They didn’t just play their characters, they inhabited them with a depth that made the familiar feel startlingly new. There were times I forgot to blink, times I forgot I was sitting in a theater at all. Fantastic
"This was my first experience with a show on Broadway - I can't imagine a better introduction. I'd never even listened to the musical before but became immediately enamored with the story, every single actor and musician so clearly put their all into their performance. The practical effects of the lighting and the stage were phenomenal and really helped immerse me in the story. Every single performer gave in their all, but I especially loved Persephone. I feel so lucky I got to see this show."

Stunning emotional depth
"Loved this! Vocal decisions are obviously going to be different with a new cast (Joshua Colley, Jordan Tyson, J. Harrison Ghee, etc) but the emotional depth behind each choice!!! Amazing!! (Shout out to a Jordan Tyson rendition of 'Flowers'😭😭🩷🩷). Absolutely stunning from main cast to ensemble to set to costumes to lighting to every little detail.
I had to opportunity to speak to Sydney Parra and Joshua Colley and they are both wonderful and in love with their craft. Bravo to all of the cast and crew! I'll be back as soon as I can."

Incredible
"It is hard to put into words how much I loved this show. I have listened to the original cast soundtrack over and over, so thought I knew how powerful the music and story are, but seeing it in person honestly blew me away. The cast was extraordinary, the set, costumes and choreography were perfect- just enough to add to the story but not distract from it. The musicians on stage add so much to the performance. I went to a matinee and could have watched the show again that evening. It’s beautiful, it’s funny, it’s sad… it’s everything and more. I feel so grateful to have experienced it. "

The Best of Broadway
"For just one day of my life I wanted to visit New York, see Broadway shows with my kids, and soak in the best that Manhattan has to offer. After months of planning a group of five of us from Michigan, Missouri, and Wisconsin were able to get together for two shows. We saw Hadestown as a matinee on Saturday. It was the first time any of us had seen it. We were all very impressed. All the actors were superb; we couldn't even agree on which one stole the show because they all stole our hearts. The staging, lights, sound - impeccable. We were also amazed that the full house was pin-drop silent during the quiet moments, and roaring with applause and cheers from the first note to the last. Really a dream come true for me!"

Love this show!
"I have seen this show multiple times on and off Broadway. It never misses! The music is incredible, the story is heart wrenching! I know the outcome and I still find myself crying and anticipating. The character's are amazing and I love watching everyone's unique spin on how they play the characters. It's always slightly different, yet never changes the course of the story. If you want to see a show you'll definitely be singing in your car on the way home, Hadestown is a great choice!"

Not what I thought it would be
"I was surprised by the modern story line with just a hint of the Greek mythology and a lot of jazz motifs. I loved some of the rhyming lyrics that narrated the story and I was moved to tears with the love story. I went to this show knowing nothing and left singing the songs on repeat in my head. "

"We came for a winter escape with the goal of seeing a show every night that we were here. Made our selections and purchased tickets. HADESTOWN was not part of it. Last minute decision, we saw that HADESTOWN had 2 tickets left for the next days Tuesday matinee and because of what we had read, grabbed them. This show blew us away. Non-stop, dynamic music, (wonderful! singers), set design perfection and of course the story line-Greek mythology (do some prep work so your familiar with the story line) Loved the other 5 shows we saw, but this one, we would happily see again.
