An amazing finish
"The whole show was very entertaining but the finish raised the excitement to an amazing level. The cast was engaging and appeared to be enjoying themselves. Even though it was over two hours, we could have stayed for another two hours. "

How did this not win Best Musical of2025?
"I've been fascinated by this story since I was a kid and saw The Man Who Never Was. I was excited to see this show. The cast is brilliant, a perfect ensemble if there ever was one. The show is beautifully choreographed and directed and it moves fast! I was delighted, although I have a small criticism: rather than overamp the music, tone it down so we can hear the lyrics and overamp the dialogue, because some of it was lost. Still, it's a terrific show and if it had a Monday night performance, I'd definitely see it again. Thank you for a lovely afternoon of musical theater!"

Operation Mincement superbly blends comedy with a true story.
"The singing and music had variety and was well matched to the story and script. The pace of this play held my interest. The vocal range and quality of the singing was great. The final words ant the end made the day for me."

Hilariously witty
"It is quirky and funny, the cast on Friday had two of the understudies and they were amazing. The cast was in sync; singing and acting well together. Some of the jokes are quick, and I am sure of if I went again, I would find new reasons to enjoy it. Still humming songs from it. "

Silly and Irreverant But With Heart
"There's nothing like it on broadway right now and probably never again. The small cast of five are all doing double, triple, sextuple duty on characters, changing roles at the drop of a hat literally, and despite how hard they're all obviously working, they're also all obviously having a lot of fun. The songs were funny, the costumes and set were Wartime Whimsical, I'd go see this again in a heartbeat."

See it!
"I loved the music, although I wish I'd read the lyrics ahead to catch more of them. The way the actors moved in and out of their many characters so seamlessly was brilliant. Dear Bill is one of the most touching songs I've seen on stage, ever. "

Understudies RULE
"Brandon Cantares went on as Charlie...the lead and was fabulous. This is a very funny show based on the movie Mincemeat...this is not the movie but a funny take on it. Totally worth seeing."

A small cast with BIG talent
"This show was a joy to be a part of. It was a skillfully woven mixture of energy, comedy and pathos. I thought that both the set and lighting designs were absolutely fabulous. And who can possibly listen to Jak Malone singing "Dear Bill" without shedding a tear. It is an experience that will prove to be an enduring Broadway moment. Kudos to all responsible. Well done indeed."

Delightful
"5 actors take you on a wonderful ride through the story of Operation Mincemeat. Playing countless zanie characters, they recreate a historic WW II event with wit and charm without diminishing the significance of the actual historical event. It zips along and you will laugh a lot. It's just excellent. If not for Maybe Happy Ending, it would have won the Tony for best musical. Any other year, it would have."

About Operation Mincemeat: A New Musical

The year is 1943 and right now we’re losing the war. Luckily, we’re about to gamble all our futures on a stolen corpse.

Singin’ in the Rain meets Strangers on a Train, Operation Mincemeat is the fast-paced, hilarious and unbelievable true story of the twisted secret mission that won us World War II.

Bursting at the seams with the kind of chaos you couldn’t invent, the question is: how did a dead body, a fake love letter, and - of all people - Ian Fleming come together to wrong-foot Hitler?
