Peter Marks

"A miraculous musical that tells the entire story in a kind of accelerated farce that is part Mel Brooks, part SIX, part Hamilton with a side order of One Man, Two Guvnors."

The Daily Mirror

Neil Norman

"Hilarious tale makes Mincemeat out of its rivals...Before curtain I talked to a fan seeing this for the seventh time. I wondered why anyone would see the same show seven times. Now I know."

Excellent show!
"Some really good and fast transitions during scenes. The contrast between the celebratory actions vs the submarine mission was perfectly executed. "

Fun Look at History
"The show was high energy and fun, with an exciting amount of silliness. It kept me entertained the whole time. The evening went by without a moment of dullness."

Entertaining. . . and so much more.
"We went expecting an upbeat musical, and witnessed a superbly performed play. It was so much more meaningful than I anticipated. This is a very high energy testimonial to creative thinking, teamwork, loss, the unifying power of shared experience, and the importance of weighing ALL the evidence before making a judgment. This is theater at its best. "

A hilarious education on a world-changing event.
"The fact that this musical is based on a very real, very impactful event, makes the delivery all the more impressive. The 5-person cast swapped between multiple characters seamlessly and immersed you in their characters so well you didn’t even need the costume changes to know who was speaking. Multiple moments of hilarity and self-referential mirth were juxtaposed with heavy emotional depth from a dark historical time, delivered with poise, dignity and pathos. Difficult at times to understand every word due to the generally poor acoustics of old theatres but in no way detracted from the glorious spectacle of an historically defining event. 100% recommend. Split timing excellence
"Amazing staging. Excellent voices. Cast has symbiotic charm. We had 2 understudies who you would never have guessed had it not been for Playbill insert. Absolutely tantalizing. Choreography outdoes itself. "

So very clever
"The energy of this play is wonderful- both the songs, rapid conversations and the multiple roles of the actors. Since the songs are original so more difficult to follow, if possible it would be good to listen to them prior to going to the play. At least, read a little about the theme and it will help you follow the story."

Fantastic production and performance.
"The entire 5 person ensemble cast was spot on and pitch perfect. They brought high energy throughout and connected with the audience. The comedic timing was excellent. The only negative is that there is insufficient leg room between the rows for tall people. The seats are a bit uncomfortable. "

Really good!
"Based on a true story. This musical was really fun. Great singers and impressive cast of only around 5 people! The only thing was that it was a little hard to understand some of the lyrics. The mic’s may have been a bit too low. Still worth it!"

History at its best
"My attraction to the show was exactly how a serious historic moment could be turned to a musical comedy .. to my surprise this was done beautifully. With only 5 actors playing different genders & characters was also done seamlessly We truly enjoyed the show*****"

Delightful and Brilliant
"What a fun show! It starts out a bit slow, and it is sometimes hard to hear the lyrics because of the speed of the song and the actors’ English accents. But then things just get better and better. The actors work so well together. Great choreography and lots of physical comedy. The songs are all nice. Some are downright hilarious. All leading up to one of the most affecting ballads ever sung on Broadway: “Dear Bill.” Five minute ovation! I highly recommend this show. "

History made hilarious
"I’ve heard this play is like a mix of “Hamilton” and “book of mormon”. And it delivered! The history and tempo of Hamilton. But the hilarity and shenanigans of Mormon. But all in its own way. The actors and actresses did an amazing job navigating their multiple roles. I would see again "

About Operation Mincemeat: A New Musical

The year is 1943 and right now we’re losing the war. Luckily, we’re about to gamble all our futures on a stolen corpse.

Singin’ in the Rain meets Strangers on a Train, Operation Mincemeat is the fast-paced, hilarious and unbelievable true story of the twisted secret mission that won us World War II.

Bursting at the seams with the kind of chaos you couldn’t invent, the question is: how did a dead body, a fake love letter, and - of all people - Ian Fleming come together to wrong-foot Hitler?
