"There’s been a lot of buzz about Operation Mincemeat, so we bought tickets though we had no idea what it was really about. Who would have thought a show about WWII could have you laughing at one moment and wiping away tears another?! And the fact that just five actors perform EVERYTHING is incredible. It was definitely with a night in the town."

Songs and dance about WHAT??!!
"Other than being aware of the historic reference to Operation Mincemeat, I went into this performance with few ideas of what to expect. A musical about finding a dead body to fool the Nazis and change a historical event…sign me up! I laughed…a LOT! The songs were brilliant, the humor and more solemn moments perfectly executed, and the ending…well THAT has to be experienced! Kudos to the outrageously talented performers for giving us a laugh a minute (and some tears). I travelled from Atlanta, Georgia to enjoy this masterpiece of entertainment (and a couple of others before we leave town), so I encourage anyone with a love of theater, WWII history, or just a good time, to put this production on your list of things to see in NYC!"

Breathtaking
"They displayed a mastery of physical humor and timing that I didn’t know was possible.
But despite all the humor I was blindsided by the heart and raw truths. Their respect for the era, the suffering, and the subject matter was really touching.
This is what art should aspire to. "

Far more than I expected!
"The storyline was extremely interesting and enticed me into doing further research. The music and choreography was incredible but my favorite aspect was the way the actors (no spoilers!) were able to slip into every single role which definitely enhanced the story! Highly recommend! "

Incredible!
"I wasn’t sure how they were take something like operation mincemeat and create it into a musical comedy but they did it so incredibly perfect! The cast of 5 play many different roles and there is no confusing who are the playing, even when scenes change quickly. They are all genius level performers! Huge laughs throughout the entire show. Loved every second of this and would watch it again and again! "

The cast was phenomenal, every role perfectly played with great chemistry all around. Sharp storyline, creative, and full of surprises.

Unexpectedly Wonderful
"I didn't know much about Operation Mincemeat other than it was based on a true story. I wondered how they would turn a WWII British counterintelligence mission into a musical. I was more than pleasantly surprised. I was captivated, engaged, amused, and heartbroken in turn. What a fantastic use of a small cast and small stage. The incredibly talented actors were so versatile. The use of mobile set pieces was brilliant. My favorite moment in show was, without a doubt, Dear Bill. I was weeping by the end of the song and even now just thinking about it will bring tears to my eyes. I highly recommend this musical. You won't regret it."

script, actors, staging!
"Five actors, a few dozen characters, a simple plot and a dazzlingly complex staging!
The most riotous male character is played by a woman, the most moving woman played by a man.
It is amazing how the second world war keeps providing the basis of art, grueling to hilarious. It's also an important way of learning and remembering. This is an example of the exhilarating sort. Maybe one day we cn laugh at what we're going through now..."

"I especially enjoyed the unique British
Form of humor! The posturing, the pseudo slapstick, and also the music!
Wonderful show, & performances;
Even a poignant love story!
It was also a really funny treatment of a story in WWII, never told in this format.
A serious topic, but gets the message across!"

About
Operation Mincemeat: A New Musical
The year is 1943 and right now we’re losing the war. Luckily, we’re about to gamble all our futures on a stolen corpse.
Singin’ in the Rain meets Strangers on a Train, Operation Mincemeat is the fast-paced, hilarious and unbelievable true story of the twisted secret mission that won us World War II.
Bursting at the seams with the kind of chaos you couldn’t invent, the question is: how did a dead body, a fake love letter, and - of all people - Ian Fleming come together to wrong-foot Hitler?
