Such energy and talent from just five performers!
"It’s different than any other Broadway musical I’ve seen, in that the whole performance is done by only five leads switching roles multiple times. Very talented and engaging performers! Nicely done sets as well. Also love the historical bent, brought to life both poignantly and with a hefty dose of dry wit. "

So Glad WE Went!
"This musical was recommended by my niece based solely on a song she had heard. We decided to go mainly because we had seen most of the other musicals that had been running for a long time. We were so pleasantly surprised. The cast, the music, the energy, the humor and the staging were truly amazing. This is a musical like nothing you have seen. So glad we went, and want to go again, next time we are in NYC."

Surprised WWII History Buff
"I was skeptical that an historic event such as this military intelligence operation could be made into a funny, yet poignant, musical. So glad to have been wrong. Fabulous performances!"

We all stand together
"I loved Operation Mincemeat. Based on a true story in the history of WWII, Operation Mincemeat is by turns funny, poignant, outrageous, irreverent, comic, tragic, farcical, clever and cunning, and a joy throughout. The 5 actors portray an unlimited permutation of roles, with women performing trouser roles, men performing as women, and everyone thoroughly enjoying what they're doing. The voices are excellent and Jak Malone will bring a tear to the eye as Hester Legett as he performs Dear Bill. There are brief tips of the hat to shows like Hamilton and Jacques Brel, and dance numbers that recall Beyonce's All the Single Ladies as well as music hall glitz. It's British farce all the way as it also honors a moment in history that not everyone has heard about. Go, you won't regret it!"

Best show thus year
"The acting, direction, and script were all excellent. We particularly appreciated the dignity of paying tribute to the deceased man who was the inspiration for all the deception that followed. This show was well written.?"

So Much More Than Just Chopped Liver!
"Who knew history could be so much fun to learn about, and funny to see. This play did a great job of relating the story of an incredible deception the British military pulled off on the Nazis in WWII. After we chose to see Operation Mincemeat, I happened to run across it on Netflix. (Starring Colin Firth, 2021). The play was every bit as "historically correct" as the movie portrayal.... and more fun. The play was fast moving and hilarious. So many characters played by so few players. Once you caught on that there are really only 5 actors on stage doing everything, it draws you in even more just waiting to see who the main people will become next. The comedy will make you laugh out loud. The songs may bring a lump of emotion to your throat and a tear to your eye. The dancing will make you want to tap along. I hope they will tour, because I will see them again in Arizona when they do! OH MY LOOK! They are touring in 2026 . I will be there!"

About Operation Mincemeat: A New Musical

The year is 1943 and right now we’re losing the war. Luckily, we’re about to gamble all our futures on a stolen corpse.

Singin’ in the Rain meets Strangers on a Train, Operation Mincemeat is the fast-paced, hilarious and unbelievable true story of the twisted secret mission that won us World War II.

Bursting at the seams with the kind of chaos you couldn’t invent, the question is: how did a dead body, a fake love letter, and - of all people - Ian Fleming come together to wrong-foot Hitler?
