History with fun
"Very cleverly done. The lighting was an integral part of the show. I already knew the story, but they did a great job in telling it for those who didn’t know."

So much fun...
"I loved the whole tone of this show. So much fun in every way but still a compelling story with real characters. At moments it was like a real life cartoon and for a few, brief moments you would get caught up in the unspoken character background. Everything I love about theater happened in this show."

Best musical I have ever seen
"This is the best musical I’ve ever seen and I saw Topol in Fiddler on the Roof, Ken Howard and Blythe Danner in 1776 and a host of others. I read the book and saw the movie and went on a whim during a blizzard in New York based on a review I read in the New York Times. I was a bit skeptical because the book and film were so good. This production was not only an accurate telling of the story, it was brilliantly staged - the music was excellent, the lyrics and dialogue were witty and the acting superb. Each of the five actors played multiple roles, and the costume changes were clever, some taking place onstage. I highly recommend you see this and take all of your friends."

Fun and unusual!
"So great to learn about something that history books missed but that was a key factor in ending ww2. Loved the small, versatile cast. Uncomplicated staging was refreshing! "

If you want to laugh and cry
"An absolutely first-rate musical based on actual historical events. I laughed out loud, but was also moved to tears, especially over the song “Dear Bill.” The cast was remarkable, the way they played so many different characters, regardless of gender, transitioning so seamlessly and effortlessly between parts. Excellent acting, singing, dancing. Loved it!"

Spectacular
"We enjoyed the music, the story and the acting was excellent. The only minus was it moved at a very fast pace combined with the British accents made it inaudible at times, but overall, we found it to be very enjoyabale and would highly recommend it to our friends. "

Phenomenal experience
"So impressed that words escape me. The script, the acting, the music, the humor,… All were such a positive and fantastic experience. I totally understand why people see this show more than once. I am already planning my next attendance. Five actors playing multiple roles. I did a double take because each play the individual role so well that I never would’ve guessed they were only five actors. We saw multiple shows. My favorite experience of the weekend. I LOVED Operation Mincemeat!"

Top of their game.
"The cast and crew of the show were absolutely stunning in their performances and timing while doing stunning stunts and visually amazing performances. The range of the cast was breathtaking, and i literally mean they took my breath away as I was doubling over with laughter. This was one of the best theatrical surprises I have seen since I first started attending shows some 45 years ago. Thank you to all of the cast and crew and to everyone who had a hand in what I'm calling a theatrical triumph. "

Better than Hamilton
"This is my absolute favorite musical. Hamilton and Les Mis are, in my opinion, both perfect 10’s and were my favorites forever. This one goes to 11. It’s insanely good. So much heart, creativity, humor, and insane talent on display. Just go see it. You will not regret it. "

Hilarious
"Laugh out loud funny and characters developed so well that you root for all of them. Songs vacillate between silly and serious and the performances are incredible. I liken it to the British Hamilton. It’s that clever"

Prepare to laugh!
"There is nothing we didn't like about this show. It delivered from start to finish. The cast was top tier; We didn't even realize until intermission that several understudies were performing that afternoon. What a fantastic, funny telling of a story we knew nothing about. Highly recommend Mincemeat for all. Already considering a second helping ourselves. "

So much more than you thought you were going to see!
"I had been listening to the music for a year. But seeing all of the performances gave each song so much more meaning. The innovative and creative set design and how they can create so many characters with just the 5 actors on stage. The sound was so full with just again 5 actors and a minimal group of musicians. The Dear Bill number brought the house to tears. So spectacularly acted and performed. Surprises galore. Highly Recommend you go see this one!"

About Operation Mincemeat: A New Musical

The year is 1943 and right now we’re losing the war. Luckily, we’re about to gamble all our futures on a stolen corpse.

Singin’ in the Rain meets Strangers on a Train, Operation Mincemeat is the fast-paced, hilarious and unbelievable true story of the twisted secret mission that won us World War II.

Bursting at the seams with the kind of chaos you couldn’t invent, the question is: how did a dead body, a fake love letter, and - of all people - Ian Fleming come together to wrong-foot Hitler?
