Amazing production!!
"What's not to like? The 5 actors were phenomenal. The costume and character changes happened at lighting speed. My favorite was the hip hop performance dressed as SS military. Was SOOOOOO funny!! My husband and I couldn't decide who our favorite characters were? They were all so wonderful. I would love to know how they are able to keep up the energy for 2+hours of super active dance and singing performances? The subtle jokes and remarks, the interaction with the audience. I smiled the entire show. "

Impressive and Entertaining!
"Was amazed at the fact that 5 actors played 100 characters and moved so fast and smoothly between the parts. Very clever that such a subject was so brilliantly presented as a musical. Fabulous voices and story telling. One incredibly beautiful and emotional song....so many high energy numbers and a spectacular ending. Fully recommend! Bravo!"

If you miss Mincemeat you are missing out
"Operation Mincemeat was highly recommended by a friend who lives in NYC and he is always right on. My wife and I found Mincemeat to be extremely entertaining and well done. The vocals by all the performers were fantastic and none of them were short of amazing. The choreography and costume changes were truly magical ; we were amazed by how fast the performers were able to change costumes. The story line was so intriguing , especially knowing that it is based on true events. It it difficult to comprehend how good the actors, producers, directors, orchestra and others who are responsible for the play, Mincemeat really are. These people are some the hardest working people in the world and the production of Mincemeat surely reflects their efforts. My wife and I will be seeing Mincemeat again. Oh and whomever the usher was in left orchestra, thank you for giving my wife a seat pillow!"

Amazing Talented Actors
"I knew a little history on this true story. The way the cast presented it was fantastic. I was also amazed that there were only five actors covering multiple parts. The transition between scenes went seamless and I was amazed how well they did that. I loved the cast and would absolutely see this again. "

Fast paced fun touching on every emotion!
"The musical was amazing! Explaining a serious historical event with unorthodox humor and highlighting the personalities (with all too familiar human strengths and failings) that made up MI5. The creativity, intelligence and talent of the superb actors made this one of the best broadway shows I’ve ever seen! So much heart and humor… I’m still smiling and it’s been 24 hours since I saw this masterpiece 😊"

Fantastic in every way but my seat!!
"I loved everything about this show—the story, the cast, the choreography, the music, the sets, the costumes, the variety of musical numbers… It made me laugh, it made me cry, it made me leap to my feet at the curtain call! It was much more than I expected and I would highly recommend it. But don’t get seat R 119 or you will have a lot of trouble seeing around the head of the person in front of you. (The rest of the row was fine)"

Prepare for a thrill ride
"Operation Mincemeat is the most exciting, energetic, good-time, thrill of a musical I've seen in decades. I sat on the edge of my seat with a stupid grin on my face for the entire show -- that is, when I wasn't stifling a sob at a certain heartbreaking moment. The hugely talented, insanely energetic, tightly collaborative cast earned every millisecond of the instant standing ovation. I'd love to see it again."

Energetic
"Actors’ enthusiasm and energy were incredible. Managed to inject humor into the underlying story while retaining the dramatic and suspenseful moments. The solo performed by the actor writing a letter to his departing lover was the high point — heartfelt and astonishingly beautiful "

A Big Breath of Fresh Air
"Operation Mincemeat was truly a breath of fresh air in today’s toxic environment. It was a rare combination of slap-stick humor, touching musical numbers (Dear Bill), and brilliant staging and direction….all performed by five wonderful actors who truly loved performing their roles. Sitting in the first row, we felt like we were part of the performance. How many shows both made my face break from smiling so much as well as shedding a few tears! Bravo!"

A wonderful show!
"There’s been a lot of buzz about Operation Mincemeat, so we bought tickets though we had no idea what it was really about. Who would have thought a show about WWII could have you laughing at one moment and wiping away tears another?! And the fact that just five actors perform EVERYTHING is incredible. It was definitely with a night in the town."

Songs and dance about WHAT??!!
"Other than being aware of the historic reference to Operation Mincemeat, I went into this performance with few ideas of what to expect. A musical about finding a dead body to fool the Nazis and change a historical event…sign me up! I laughed…a LOT! The songs were brilliant, the humor and more solemn moments perfectly executed, and the ending…well THAT has to be experienced! Kudos to the outrageously talented performers for giving us a laugh a minute (and some tears). I travelled from Atlanta, Georgia to enjoy this masterpiece of entertainment (and a couple of others before we leave town), so I encourage anyone with a love of theater, WWII history, or just a good time, to put this production on your list of things to see in NYC!"

Breathtaking
"They displayed a mastery of physical humor and timing that I didn’t know was possible. But despite all the humor I was blindsided by the heart and raw truths. Their respect for the era, the suffering, and the subject matter was really touching. This is what art should aspire to. "

About Operation Mincemeat: A New Musical

The year is 1943 and right now we’re losing the war. Luckily, we’re about to gamble all our futures on a stolen corpse.

Singin’ in the Rain meets Strangers on a Train, Operation Mincemeat is the fast-paced, hilarious and unbelievable true story of the twisted secret mission that won us World War II.

Bursting at the seams with the kind of chaos you couldn’t invent, the question is: how did a dead body, a fake love letter, and - of all people - Ian Fleming come together to wrong-foot Hitler?
