"This is the best show I have seen in years. I didn't know anything about the show apart from: 1) it was British, 2) it was based on a true story, and 3) it was a musical. And, frankly, that was all I needed to know.

"We knew the story going in, but if you don't, the lyrics of the songs are sometimes hard to hear exactly, so we would recommend learning the story before hand. Maybe watch the 2022 movie. Serious, funny, and touching
"The topic of Operation Mincemeat is pretty serious. In fact, my husband and I had seen the movie prior to the musical, and we weren’t sure how it was going to be funny (which we had heard) or even a musical. The small but mighty cast was amazing — both with acting and singing in multiple roles. They brought both humor and touching moments into this true and unusual story. Hester’s song/letter made both my husband and I cry, and there were also many laugh out loud times. Highly recommend this show!"
