The 2026-2027 Broadway season is just around the corner, with a fantastic selection of new Broadway shows already announced! From stage adaptations of screen favorites to star-led plays, splashy revivals and beyond, the upcoming Broadway season is shaping up to be a perfect time to plan a New York City theater trip.
Big Broadway Musicals to Watch
Musical fans have plenty to be excited about, with the season set to feature original new shows and fresh takes on audience favorites. Electrifying new musical Galileo and the mostly-true story of Wanted arrive in the fall, with Lin-Manuel Miranda & Eisa Davis' Warriors already announced for the spring. Anticipated revivals are also on the way, with classic long-running musical The Fantasticks making its Broadway premiere in October, Jamie Lloyd's acclaimed production of Evita arriving in March and the first Broadway revival of The Sound of Music in 30 years hitting the stage in the spring.
Screen Favorites Coming to the Broadway Stage
The stars are out! A ton of TV and film favorites will be making their way to the Broadway stage this season. Marvel favorites Tom Hiddleston and Hayley Atwell star in a joyful production of Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing, Bradley Whitford and Tom Blyth star in the return of Aaron Sorkin's A Few Good Men and a starry cast including Julia Louis-Dreyfuss, Ed Harris and Allison Janney bring Other Desert Cities back to Broadway. Legendary comedian Billy Crystal also returns to Broadway in his new solo show 860.
Family-Friendly Fun in 2027
2027 will also welcome a new kid-friendly show when Paddington the Musical arrives from London. Filled with laughter, wonder, spectacular songs, dazzling choreography and a generous helping of marmalade, the Olivier Award-winning musical starring the beloved bear from the popular books and films is a show the whole family will enjoy.
