Phenomenal show!
"Romeo & Juliet was a phenomenal show. Circle in the square was the perfect theatre for it and it was directed and produced wonderfully. The cast did an amazing job at getting the audience to understand the story and every one of them should be extremely proud of the work they did. "

Yes! Go see this!
"I love Kit Connor so much! He was amazing as Romeo! He is why I went to see it, but ended up loving the whole cast. This version was playful and fun and funny and celebrated diversity. I honestly believe they played with more with the youth and stupidity of Romeo than I have ever seen. "

A special night at the theatre!
"I have come back again because this is a unique theatre event! The theatre itself provides the audience with an almost interactive experience with the actors moving up and down the aisles and even overhead. The cast are all outstanding and deliver the message that this is a play about the lives of young people, no matter the era. The music truly enhances the show and when Rachel Zegler sings Man of the House the audience is deeply moved. She and Kit Connor are the best couple that I have ever seen in these roles! They are so talented and their chemistry is real. But, above all, Kit Connor drives the show with his energy and artistry! He delivers the lines as if they were everyday speech as well as beautiful poetry. I would see this show again. If only live theatre could be relived! "

Wonderful experience
"Very playful and entertaining and an incredible performance of all actors. Especially Kit Connor who played a briljant Romeo. Shakespeare would have been proud. Also, the theater made it all very intimate that added to the experience. Glad I flew in from Europe to see this! "

Some great performances. Second half had some glitches.
"Kit Connor did a beautiful job playing Romeo in this modern Romeo and Juliet. Some Shakespearean elements were preserved - the language, theater-in-the-round staging, setting, characters (including female characters played by men, though the reverse also occurred) and storyline were original. Innovations included lots of teddy bears, a few songs, modern clothing, and a hanging bed rather than a balcony. The second half had some pacing issues, exacerbated by what appeared to be some missed lines and a late entrance by an understudy. Overall, though, it was an enjoyable performance with lots of physicality and a cohesive cast."

See it before it’s gone
"This production is a fantastic, fresh interpretation on a Shakespearean classic as well as an incredible piece of theatre in its own right. In addition to how well the text itself is delivered, I really enjoyed all of the original music. Besides the two leads, who are both remarkable in these roles, the entire cast is very strong. The creative team behind it has also worked to create a very cohesive and engaging staging that is visually stunning from start to finish. Being done in the round, the show uses the entire theatre to its advantage and there are truly no bad seats. This production very much belongs to GenZ, in a way that is both celebratory of the generation and that provides a powerful commentary on the unique struggles of today that youth face - including the relentless power of emotion, and the senselessness of violence. I feel very grateful to have seen this production, and would encourage anyone to go see it before it closes. "

A joyful Saturday evening!
"There were high hopes before attending Romeo and Juliet and the play did not disappoint. The setting of the play allowed for the audience to be more engaged. The energy of the cast was palpable and they seemed to be having fun. The adult humor thrown in was in good taste and laughable; although young children may not be appropriate. The singing and music was full of life. The acting superb. Kit Connor made you feel the character of Romeo and his body language and what he emotes translated to feeling the emotion. Both Kit and Rachel were star quality and a great chemistry and they are both budding stars at such young ages. It was worth the wait an worth the price for the tickets to be near the front row. "
