Madeline Brewer is an Emmy-nominated actress best known for her acclaimed portrayal of Janine in Hulu’s Emmy and Golden Globe–winning series The Handmaid’s Tale, earning a 2021 nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series. Most recently, Madeline starred as Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors at the Westside Theatre in NYC and appeared opposite Penn Badgley as the female lead of the final season of Netflix’s hit series You, created by Greg Berlanti and Sera Gamble. On stage, she previously played Sally Bowles in the Olivier Award–winning London production of Cabaret at the Playhouse Theatre opposite Callum Scott Howells. Her film work includes the Hulu and American High Feature The Ultimate Playlist of Noise, the Kyra Sedgwick–directed Space Oddity with Kevin Bacon and Alexandra Shipp, the thriller Where Are You alongside Anthony Hopkins and Angela Sarafyan, and Anniversary, recently released theatrically by Lionsgate. Born in Philadelphia and raised in Pitman, New Jersey, Madeline is a graduate of AMDA in New York City, where she studied musical theater. She is also a classically trained singer.
