Sydney James Harcourt (he/him) is an acclaimed American actor and singer known for his versatile talent and dynamic stage presence. Born in Detroit, Harcourt's passion for music and the performing arts led him to New York City, where he is a member of the House of Nina Oricci. Harcourt's career took off in the groundbreaking Broadway musical Hamilton. As an original cast member, he played multiple roles, including James Reynolds and Philip Schuyler, and served as an understudy for Aaron Burr, for which he was the first replacement. Additionally, Harcourt has also appeared in the musicals Girl from the North Country, American Idiot, The Lion King, and most recently the Off-Broadway sensation CATS: The Jellicle Ball. Beyond his theater work, Harcourt has made significant strides in film and television. He has appeared in such popular TV shows as DOC, Blue Bloods, NCIS: New Orleans, FBI, Tell Me a Story, Elementary, and Law & Order: SVU. Harcourt also voices the role of the countertenor ‘Edouard’ in the hit Netflix anime series “Castlevania: Nocturne.” A Grammy winner, Harcourt is a sought after vocalist on stages across the country. He is also recognized by the Drama League, Drama Desk Awards, and the Lucille Lortel Awards for his outstanding performances. Beyond his professional achievements, Harcourt is dedicated to using his platform to amplify social causes, philanthropy, and community service.
