Jonathan Groff most recently won a Tony Award for his performance of Franklin Shepard in the Broadway revival of Merrily We Roll Along. 

On Monday November 15, 2021, Groff reunited with the entire original Broadway cast and band of Spring Awakening for a one-night-only, sold-out, 15th anniversary reunion concert, which benefitted The Actors Fund. The reunion concert was the subject of the HBO documentary, “Spring Awakening: Those You’ve Known,” produced by Groff, his castmate Lauren Pritchard and Radical Media. The documentary is available to stream on HBO Max.

Groff recently completed production on M. Night Shyamalan’s highly anticipated feature Knock at the Cabin. On August 24th, Groff voiced the titular role of Ollie in “Lost Ollie,” an animated limited series produced by 21 Laps Entertainment for Netflix.

In 2019, Groff starred as the lovable doomed florist Seymour Krelborn in the celebrated Off-Broadway revival of Little Shop of Horrors, directed by Groff’s Spring Awakening director Michael Mayer. Groff starred opposite Tammy Blanchard and Christian Borle in Alan Menken and Howard Ashman’s beloved musical. He received rave reviews for his performance, and was an Outer Critics Circle Award honoree, as well as a Lucille Lortel and Drama League “Distinguished Performance Award” nominee. The production was also honored with Outer Critics Circle, Lucille Lortel, Drama Desk and Drama League Awards for “Outstanding Revival of a Musical,” and was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album.

On screen, Groff is the voice of Kristoff and Sven in the Disney animated hit films Frozen and Frozen II. Frozen won an Academy Award and Golden Globe Award for “Best Animated Feature Film.” Additional film credits include American Sniper, C.O.G., The Conspirator and Taking Woodstock.

Groff is also known for his starring role as Holden Ford in David Fincher’s critically acclaimed Netflix television series Mindhunter, which was executive produced by Oscar-winner Charlize Theron. Groff played an FBI agent who interviewed incarcerated serial killers in an attempt to solve ongoing crimes. Groff also starred in the HBO series Looking, and reprised his role as Patrick in Looking: The Movie, which concluded the acclaimed two-season series. He also appeared as the recurring character, Jesse St. James, on the Emmy and Golden Globe award-winning show Glee, created and produced by Ryan Murphy.

In the summer of 2015, Groff originated the role as King George III in Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Pulitzer Prize-winning production of Hamilton on Broadway. The musical, which began Off-Broadway and tells the story of American Founding Father Alexander Hamilton, won 11 Tony Awards in 2016, including Best Musical. Groff also received a Tony Award nomination for his performance, and the cast won a Grammy Award and Billboard Music Award for the original cast recording. The Emmy Award-winning film adaptation of the Broadway musical is currently streaming on Disney+. Groff also received an individual Emmy Award nomination for his performance in this film.

In 2006, Groff gave an award-winning breakout performance in the Broadway production of Spring Awakening (Theatre World Award winner; Tony Award, Drama Desk Award and Drama League Award nominee). Additional theatre credits include The Bobby Darin Story, Encores! Off-Center: A New Brain, The Bacchae, Hair, The Submission, The Singing Forest, Prayer for my Enemy (for which he won an Obie Award), Deathtrap and Red.

Joe Barbara made his Broadway debut as Danny Zuko in the Jeff Calhoun/Tommy Tune revival of Grease! He created the role of Carmine in Broadway’s A Bronx Tale, before taking over as Sonny. He played Gyp in Jersey Boys both in Las Vegas and the film version Jersey Boys Live! with Nick Jonas. Off Broadway: Rock & Roll Man, Tony ’n’ Tina’s Wedding. Sarah Hyland, renowned for her iconic portrayal of Haley Dunphy in the critically acclaimed television series Modern Family, has led a multifaceted career that spans across film, television, and theater. She made her Broadway debut in Grey Gardens as a young Jackie Bouvier and returned to the New York stage this year as Audrey in the current hit revival of Little Shop of Horrors. Her other credits include notable roles in ABC’s Annie and Dirty Dancing remakes, Hair at The Hollywood Bowl, Geek Charming, Vampire Academy, Struck by Lightning, and Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin. Hyland is also the co-founder and creative director of the chocolate supplement brand SOURSE. This year, she was honored with the first-ever Variety Courage Award at the magazine’s Power of Women gala, for her work as an advocate for domestic abuse survivors and animal welfare. 

Lance is ecstatic to reunite with fellow New Yorker Alex Timbers.  Lance made his Broadway debut as the King of Cartoons in Peewee Herman on Broadway under Alex's direction. He worked with him again at Roundabout in the revival of The Robber Bridegroom as Clement Musgrove. Lance has become a Broadway regular, appearing in the original casts of Sister Act, Ghost, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (Scarlett Johansson), Moss Hart’s Act One, Finding Neverland, Sunset Boulevard (Glenn Close revival), My Fair Lady (Lauren Ambrose and Laura Benanti), The Music Man (Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster) and I Need That (Danny Devito). Off Broadway credits include The Liquid Plain (Signature), March of the Falsettos (Whizzer replacement at Playwrights Horizons), Forbidden Hollywood (Triad) and sang “New York, New York” at Radio City in their musical, America, circa 1980! He took a 25-year detour to Los Angeles, where he was lucky to play almost every theater in SoCal, including the Shubert, Dorothy Chandler, Mark Taper Forum, LATC, Geffen Playhouse, The Ricardo Montalban, The Coronet, La Jolla Playhouse, The Old Globe, Lawrence Welk, Moonlight, Musical Theater West, LaMirada, Sacramento Music Circus, San Diego Rep, and The Tiffany, where he produced and directed the smash hit LA company of The All Night Strut (also performed in the PBS special). Favorite shows were the LA sit-down companies of Cats, I Love You You’re Perfect Now Change, Forbidden Hollywood, Ain’t Misbehavin’, and his 7 ½-year stint as Jafar in the original company of Aladdin, a musical spectacular at Disney California Adventure. He is a familiar face on television, from his Gillette spot to his appearances on FBI, Poker Face, SVU, Blacklist, Blue Bloods, The Best Man, Pose, and about 40 others. Caesar Samayoa has been seen on Broadway in Come From Away, Sister Act, The Pee Wee Herman Show. Select off-Broadway includes Love's Labour's Lost (Delacorte Theater) and Shakespeare's R&J, Bernstein's Mass (Carnegie Hall). Credits include leading roles in film, TV, off-Broadway and tegional theater companies including The Public Theatre, Yale Rep, La Jolla Playhouse, Goodspeed Musicals, and Tectonic Theater Project. Caesar has also appeared as a soloist at Carnegie Hall, Kennedy Center and various national and international concert tours. BFA, Ithaca College.

Emily Bergl, a unique actress among her peers, is known for her ability to transform from role to role. With versatility across genres, she has had a flourishing career in television, film and theater. As a young actress understudying on Broadway, Emily was chosen from a nationwide casting call to play the lead in The Rage: Carrie 2, her very first job on camera. Wary of being typecast as a scream queen, she returned to the theater to play Juliet opposite Neil Patrick Harris, then starred in The Lion in Winter on Broadway opposite Laurence Fishburne and Stockard Channing. Emily’s roles on television are so transformative she is often unrecognizable from one character to the next: Alex Bornstein’s ditzy, resourceful sister in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, a hardnosed investigator on Mindhunter, and a gun toting, trailer park Chicago mother in Shameless. On Desperate Housewives, she shocked audiences as the suicidal housewife Beth Young. Other regular television roles include You, Dirty John, The Knick, American Crime, How to Get Away with Murder, Scandal, Grey’s Anatomy, Southland, Men in Trees, and The Gilmore Girls. True to her original roots, Emily has combined a thriving television career with equally diverse roles in the theater. She recently starred on Broadway opposite Sean Hayes in Goodnight Oscar, for which she was nominated for a Drama Desk award. Other Broadway appearances include The Ferryman, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof opposite Scarlett Johansson, and A Touch of the Poet opposite Gabriel Byrne. Off-Broadway she has starred in Shakespeare in the Park, and has originated roles in new works by Gina Gionfriddo, Christopher Shinn, and Wendy Wasserstein. She has played iconic parts in classic dramas from Moliere to Thornton Wilder at the Lincoln Center, the Roundabout Theater, and the Williamstown Theater Festival, among others. Perhaps Emily’s most unique career aspect is that she has reinvented herself as a cabaret singer. She has played the premier night clubs across the country from the Cafe Carlyle to Yoshi’s and made the last album to be recorded in the Oak Room, Emily Bergl Live at the Algonquin. Emily will be appearing opposite Jonathan Groff on Broadway in Just in Time this spring. She can also be seen in the upcoming film The History of Sound, starring Paul Mescal and Josh O’Connor.
