You know the story of the Underground Railroad that ran North—but this show takes you on the path that ran South, revealing the untold journey of thousands who escaped slavery by crossing the Rio Grande into Mexico. Called “thrilling” by The Washington Post and “genius in motion” by the San Francisco Chronicle, this groundbreaking theatrical experience follows a freedom seeker and an unlikely ally as they forge a remarkable bond that transcends borders.
"This was a great show for it being just two people telling a huge history of the Underground Railroad to Mexico. Timely and important. Great work guys! I hope you can continue to tell this story forevermore. "

A very special experience
"Maybe the most musically gifted performers I've ever witnessed live. Such an interesting story too - energy that will stick with you long after you exit the theatre and music that will stick with you forever."

Opens a new part of American Story
"A lot of talent on display as the two performers find a fresh and engaging way to spin this story of a Mexican who lost his land and spirit and a runaway slave, and how they free each other. The music and vibe is a must. Timely!"

A superb play all around
"Loved the dynamic interaction between the two actors portraying through song, music and dialogue the history of the underground railroad to Mexico via The Rio Grande for African Slaves.
Too bad the play cannot be extended as more people would want to see it as word of mouth is given Mexodus glowing reviews.!!!!!!!

Absolutely genius!!
"This was one of the best musicals I’ve ever seen and I see a lot, and I’m usually not too easy to please! Two performers being able to pull something like this off was mind blowing. I danced, laughed, cried, and learned so much. Beautiful story, captivating music, incredible performances. Go see this!! "

Incredible experience!
"I absolutely loved Mexodus — it was creative, powerful, and unlike any musical I’ve seen. The live-looped performance added such a unique rhythm and energy, and both actors were phenomenal in bringing history and emotion to life. I left feeling inspired and moved — a must-see!"

Wow! What an amazing experience and an amazing story
"The music, the looping, the beat box, all the instruments they were able to play. And telling this story of the underground railroad at the southern board from Texas to Mexico that we were never told in history classes. Too bad this is only running through October 18th. It should be playing much longer."
