About Stereophonic on Broadway

Everything you need to know about the show.

The Story

Stereophonic mines the agony and the ecstasy of creation as it zooms in on a music studio in 1976, where an up-and-coming rock band finds itself on the cusp of superstardom. Written by David Adjmi, directed by Daniel Aukin, and featuring original music by Arcade Fire’s Will Butler, this electrifying new play takes audiences inside the powder keg process of a band on the brink of blowing up.

A Stereophonic Blast
"This Tony award winning play is a great visit for those who are Baby Boomers and younger as well. The cast was first rate! It's a funny and sad play about everyday life! As the play unfolded, I felt like a ''groupie'' following a 1970's established musical group. The only negative I have was the run time of the show. It is well worth the price of a ticket so if you are in NYC, check out the play! Great adult entertainment."

Such a great experience
"Incredible music and acting. You don't need to know about Fleetwood Mac to enjoy..might even be better if you don't. It's a music/love/relationships story with great performances and it's a pleasure to watch the characters grow and change through the play. Had such a great time."

In no way oversold
"I loved every detail and would have gladly watched again right away. Hilarious, poignant, and reminded me when I needed it that America itself is a creative endeavor of exhilarating highs and desperate lows, frustrating setbacks and near ruptures, deep exhaustion and endless takes. "
