Story

“What’s not to love about Betty Boop?” (Chicago Tribune) For almost a century, Betty has won hearts and inspired fans around the world with her trademark looks, voice, and style. Now, in BOOP!, Betty’s dream of an ordinary day off from super-celebrity in her black-and-white world leads to a “bright and bubbly” (Time Out New York) adventure of color, music, and love in New York City. “A show-stopping rainbow of joy” (The Daily Beast), BOOP! is the new Broadway musical-comedy extravaganza that’s fun for everyone. Boop-oop-a-doop!

Tony Award®–winning director/choreographer Jerry Mitchell (Kinky Boots, La Cage aux Folles, Hairspray) brings Fleischer Studios’ Queen of the Screen to the theater with celebrated multiple-time Grammy®-winning composer David Foster (“I Have Nothing,” “After the Love Is Gone,” “The Prayer”), Tony-nominated lyricist Susan Birkenhead (Working, Jelly’s Last Jam), and Tony-winning bookwriter Bob Martin (The Drowsy Chaperone, The Prom).

Outstanding production
"I enjoyed every aspect of the show. Storyline, sets, costumes, orchestra, sound, and the FABULOUS Jasmine Roberts as Betty Boop. It is sad this show is leaving Broadway as it deserves to remain."

Oh, how I wish more people could see this!!
"Boop was by far, one of the best musicals I've seen in recent years! I even liked it better than MJ! The music was wonderful, the voices were incredible, the sets were the most unique things I've ever seen, and the dancing was second to none! I can't say enough good things about Boop and am so disappointed that it is closing on Sunday. It is so apparent what thought, vision, and creativity went into creating this show and I personally think it's sad that the only shows that stick around lately are those that feature recycled pop songs. If you have the opportunity, run, don't walk to go see Boop! It will truly knock your socks off!"

Seeing Boop made our summer!!
"It was wonderful, every minute! The singing, dancing, the "messages" about womanhood and self-advocacy...the whole package. We'd see it again in a minute. We are very sad its had such a short Broadway run."

So much better than I thought it would be
"Absolutely fantastic! Betty Boop was spot on. The comedy was great. I even teared up and her main number in second act. It’s too bad more people haven’t given it a shot. I’m so glad I went "
