Can't believe it has to close!
"The musical was entertaining, fun to watch and informative. The singing, the horn playing and the dancing were awesome. And who doesn't love tap dancing?! My husband and I had no idea about the life of Louis Armstrong ... quite a guy! In summary, it was absolutely satisfying both visually and auditorily, and we came out of the theater having learned a lot. James Monroe Iglehart was phenomenal as were all the actors! Bravo!"

Great tribute to Louis Armstrong
"The play was phenomenal, the cast especially James, who played Louis, he captured his voice and he sang in that voice...👏🏾👏🏾 Unfortunately, we happened to see the plays final performance, yes it closed! We were all very surprised to learn this. I'm so happy I got to see the play. Mr. Armstrong, James Brown and Count Basie lived in my neighborhood, when I was growing up."

Satchmo's Sax meets love, fame, failure, race, grace & joy
"A wonderful Musical with an incredible cast, direction and choreography. The only thing I would suggest would be to introduce Stepin Fetchit earlier in order to enlarge his story as a contrast to Satchmo's primary story accentuating the challenges endured and conquered by these indomitable talents. The pivotal scene anchored by the amazing talents of James Monroe Iglehart as Louis Armstrong and Dewitt Fleming Jr as Lincoln Perry (aka Stepin Fetchit) left me wanting more intersections between their two stories. Special Kudos to Dewitt's wife, Jennie Harney-Fleming, as Lil Hardin, who admirably carries the elevated talent mantel handed down to her by her Tony Award winning (DREAMGIRLS) father, Ben Harney. This is a must see show that must continue. Thank you all for sharing your vision and talents. WHAT A WONDERFUL WORLD."

OUTSTANDING
"This musical and storytelling was beyond my expectations. I took my wife to see it as a Valentine’s Day gift, plus as a surprise. She was over the moon. And on top of that , it was my mother’s favorite song. Always brings a tear to my eyes whenever I hear “ What a wonderful world “ . So you can imagine how I was at the last Act. The cast was phenomenal and orchestra as well. HIGHLY RECOMMEND “ ."
