What’s the NYC Weather like in March?

March in NYC is a true transition month, with winter slowly giving way to spring. Expect cool temperatures, with average highs around 50°F/10°C, but don’t be surprised by chilly mornings, breezy evenings, or the occasional rainy day, and yes maybe even some snow. We’d suggest packing layers, including a warm jacket, sweaters, and comfortable shoes for walking around the city. Since March weather can be unpredictable, bringing an umbrella or water-resistant coat is a smart idea. To enjoy both NYC and your Broadway plans comfortably, dress in layers so you’re ready for whatever the day brings.
