Wasn’t sure what to expect
"Being a big fan of Celine Dion I wasn’t sure what to expect but it soon became obvious that here was an ensemble of talented actors and singers. Lots of double entendres with a gay twist but being of the other persuasion it was funny nonetheless. The actress that played Molly “kathy” Brown gave a superb vocal performance when she sang All by myself hitting some incredible high notes. Other actors also gave notable vocal performances leading me to wander in true Billy Joel fashion, what are you doing here? No, the actual Céline Dion is not in Titanique. However, Céline Dion is a character in the show, portrayed by co-creator Marla Mindelle.
Yes! Titanique features a number of songs from Céline Dion's iconic songbook, including "If You Asked Me To," "Beauty and the Beast" and, of course, "My Heart Will Go On."
There is no specific dress code for Titanique or for any Broadway show. Whether dressed up or casual, be sure to dress comfortably and keep in mind the theater may be cool in the summer. Marla Mindelle most recently co-wrote and starred in the Lortel winning Off-Broadway musical The Big Gay Jamboree. She won the 2023 Lucille Lortel and Obie award for Best Performer in a Musical for her portrayal of Céline Dion in Titanique. Titanique also won the 2025 Olivier Award for Best Live Entertainment and the Lucille Lortel award for Best Musical. Other credits include Sister Mary Robert in the original cast of Sister Act on Broadway, Stepsister Gabrielle in the original Broadway company of Cinderella. South Pacific (Broadway) and The Drowsy Chaperone (Kitty, First National Tour). You can see her as resident bitch, Olivia, in the Emmy-nominated series, Special on Netflix.
