The winner of the Tony Award® for Best Musical is The Outsiders. This classic coming-of-age story takes you to Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1967, where Ponyboy Curtis, his best friend Johnny Cade, and their family of Greaser “outsiders” dream about who they want to become in a world that will never accept them. The Outsiders features a “tuneful and soul-bearing” (New York Stage Review) original score, “high-octane choreography” (New York Magazine), and a “sensational young cast” (The Wall Street Journal) that brings the show to life.
There is a rain effect on stage. Drops of water and small rubber pieces from the stage floor may land in or near the first two rows of the Orchestra section (rows A and B).
"I absolutely loved this production!!! It was a dream come true to travel from Melbourne Australia to see this in NYC and it did not disappoint. From the performance to the stage setting, I could not say a bad word as it was so moving, it brought me to tears. Outstanding in every way and highly recommend!!!"

Outstanding production!
"My husband,19yo son and I went together and it was fantastic! Everyone loved it equally. The talents were great and they interacted with the audience. We were on the front row and are still finding tire pellets in our clothes! Very fun! Not for young children due to language and the themes. Highly recommend!"
