The winner of the Tony Award® for Best Musical is The Outsiders. This classic coming-of-age story takes you to Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1967, where Ponyboy Curtis, his best friend Johnny Cade, and their family of Greaser “outsiders” dream about who they want to become in a world that will never accept them. The Outsiders features a “tuneful and soul-bearing” (New York Stage Review) original score, “high-octane choreography” (New York Magazine), and a “sensational young cast” (The Wall Street Journal) that brings the show to life.
There is a rain effect on stage. Drops of water and small rubber pieces from the stage floor may land in or near the first two rows of the Orchestra section (rows A and B).
"I absolutely loved this production!!! It was a dream come true to travel from Melbourne Australia to see this in NYC and it did not disappoint. From the performance to the stage setting, I could not say a bad word as it was so moving, it brought me to tears. Outstanding in every way and highly recommend!!!"

The Outsiders took my breath away!
"The show was fantastic! The actors were spot on, telling the story and the singing and dancing were perfection. The choreography and emotions displayed sold the story so well, I felt like I was in 1960s Tulsa rather than NYC Broadway. Very well done! "

This show incredible!
"The entirety of this show was excellent! The staging was spot on! The lighting, sets, all were evocative of a 1960s barrio. The singing was superb!! And the orchestra was top, top notch!! This show was gripping...the leads were absolutely believeable and drew one right in from the beginning. The entire cast/ensemble was tight, well rehearsed and just magnificent when singing together!! I hope to see this exact show again!"

Loved this so much!
"I have always loved the Outsiders. I read it in high school in the seventies, and my granddaughter read it just two years ago. It is amazing that something can stay relevant for so many years. I think the cast did a fantastic job of bringing this story to life. The singing and choreography was amazing. I especially loved the duets between Ponyboy and Johnny! I would highly recommend this to all my friends. "
