The Story

The Book of Mormon follows two young missionaries who are sent to Uganda to try to convert citizens to the Mormon religion. One missionary, Elder Price, is an enthusiastic go-getter with a strong dedication to his faith, while his partner, Elder Cunningham, is a socially awkward but well meaning nerd whose tendency to embroider the truth soon lands him in trouble. Upon their arrival in Africa, Elders Price and Cunningham learn that in a society plagued by AIDS, poverty and violence, a successful mission may not be as easy as they expected.

Non stop laughter

Don’t bring your young kids or grandkids! Otherwise it was great!

"You need to warn people that this is absolutely not for children under 15-16 and it contains sexual violence. The actors were the most incredible and talented actors I have ever seen. I just want people to be aware that it could be quite uncomfortable if you’re sitting with your young children or grandchildren! Especially when the men come out with their giant fake penises during the Uganda tribe play. And when they’re singing about raping babies and maggots in the scrotum. "

Book of Mormon Continues To Amaze

"¡¡Spoiler Alert!! This showing was amazing! Great writing, music, production, and stellar performances! It had the perfect blend of chaos, heart, and razor-sharp comedy! I went with my son (14 yo) last night (9/6/26). The musical stands up on its own without the need of great performances. But guess what? We had it all! We had two players in the lead roles that weren’t in the Playbill. Jack Baugh was great as the straight man (Elder Price) to Jordan Matthew Brown’s funny man (Elder Cunningham). Baugh’s stoicism in the face of Brown’s constant ridiculousness was the perfect tone. Brown was over the top in the most perfect way. There were definitely notes of Josh Gad, but he did so many hysterical things that I don’t see Gad pulling off. Sydney Quildon as Nabulungi was perfect. You can see why she was in the main cast. Her voice was pitch perfect. She hit high notes like you wouldn’t believe. John K Kramer was another understudy that hit everything he needed to. There was another player in the ensemble of Elders that was great as well. His expressions in the background had me cackling in my chair. My son made multiple comments about him. He was kind of the second of the elders after McKinley. Sorry I can’t find your name; you know who you are! The choreography and production were well planned and executed. The absurdity of some of the dancing was the perfect tone for the show. The two by two pairings of the Elders, the extra characters in hell Spooky Mormon Hell Dream, and the callbacks in Latter Day had us hooked from the beginning moments to the very end. I have no flaws with the production, cast, or performance. It’s one that I would love to watch again and again! I wish I had the time and didn’t have to fly back home! This was my son’s first time seeing Book of Mormon and first time on Broadway. He left the performance singing Orlando, Mostly Me, and Sal Tlay Ka Siti over and over. You have two huge fans!"
